This is our last "official" meeting of the year
and we are having a fun game night. Please reply to the evite if you plan on attending the June meeting.
New members are always welcome! If you join now your dues will cover next year. We will have a number of events in the summer as well.

The Mothers of Malverne (MOMs) began in 1978 when two mothers of preschoolers met and realized that
there were others who also felt somewhat isolated and in need of support through the adventures, joys, and difficulties of
raising small children. They put an ad in a local newspaper asking to meet other interested mothers. That first
MOMs meeting of 18 women was the seed for what has blossomed into the Mothers of Malverne of today. Today the MOMs includes
women from many communities in Nassau County.
Our Mission
The MOMs is a club for mothers of young children. It is designed to function as a cooperative
support group and social network for mothers as they face the challenges of child rearing.
Our Events
The MOMs meet on the 15th of every month. Some months we have informal
meetings where we discuss upcoming events and parties and just chat and catch up with each other. Some months we have
a "Moms Night Out" and get together for dinner, coffee, dessert, or another fun activity.
We have children's events throughout the year, including a Halloween party, Breakfast with Santa, and an
Easter party and egg hunt. You can also form playgroups with other MOMs members.
Fun for Moms
Book Club -
Book clubs are a great way to enjoy a relaxing evening of conversation. They provide an opportunity to form new friendships
and to enhance existing ones.
For our next book we will be reading The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald. We
will be meeting on Monday, June 17th, to see the movie and discuss the book. Email the MOMs if you
are interested in joining us.
Walking Group - Exercise
while chatting with friends. We usually walk in the evenings. Email the MOMs if you are interested in joining
us.
Game Night -
Come in cozy clothes (sweats or pjs) for a super casual night of fun and games. We try to hold a game
night once a month. Check our calendar for the date of the next game night.

If you are interested in becoming a member, come to our next monthly
meeting (check our Calendar of Events) or contact us at mothersofmalverne@yahoo.com. You can also download a membership form and mail it or email it to the
MOMs.
Membership is $30 per year. Membership
dues help defray the cost of our events.
